
She has also dedicated much of her time interpreting Paraguayan folklore
songs that
include many other Latin American ones as a means in
reaching the people, and to
transmit in this manner the hopes and
dreams of those unjustly kept quiet.
She has produced 19 LP's. Has undertaken long trips throughout
Europe, the
Orient, the United States and all of the Latin American
countries. In Spain her appearances in Radio and Television have
been
greatly admired.
She has received "Spain's Gold” as the best
Spanish singer.
She was part of the Jury in the Famous Viña del
Mar Festival held in Chile
as well as in the OTI Festival.
As a poetess, Gloria Criscione was invited to the 4th Paris Book
Saloon
and her poems have been included in the PEN CLUB of
Paraguay's recompilation
of poetry.She has had four books edited:
"Crystal”, "Cuarzo y Crystal”,
"Transmutation y Silence” and "Clave y Recuerdos”.
Her name was put forward by the University of Asunción to receive the "Prince of Asturias” prize for her integration work of the Iberian American people.
Gloria del Paraguay has been received by H.H. Pope John Paul II, taking her voice and greetings of all Paraguayan artists as well as the Latin American ones.
The Paraguayan Government named her as Itinerant Cultural Delegate and Artistic Ambassador.
She is a professional in Psychology and Natural Science. She practices Natural Medicine, Acupuncture and Yoga.
Following a two year sabbatical of silence, during which time she wished to commune with God, and to organise her Art, Science and Technology Foundation, she decided to resume giving concerts in order to attain funds for her Foundation, of which she is Chairman, and to share with her world brothers what to her has always meant the strongest spiritual call: music.
