Luca Testa
Italian condutor, born in San Giovanni Rotondo in 1976, attended both musical and classical studies, gaining a sensible experience as conductor, conducting, since he was 14 years old, several choirs and orchestral groups, boht in Italy and abroad.
Graduating, summa cum laude, in Orchestra Conducting, Wind Istrumentation and Wind Conducting Choral Music and Conducting and in Clarinet at the Musical Conservatoires in Foggia and Bari, he completed his studies of Composition in Rome with Teresa Procaccini.
He specialized in Italian Opera with Maestro Nicola Hansalik Samale.
He was admitted at the specialization course of Maestro Aldo Ceccato in Milano and at the Master of “High Shool of Orchestra Conducting” of Maestro Donato Renzetti. Piero Bellugi, Bruno Bartoletti, Jorma Panula and so on.
His formation as a musician and orchestra conductor was greatly influenced by his own need and habit of being constantly surrounded by artists and men of learning such as Nello Santi (La Boheme at the San Carlo Theatre in Naples and Nabucco at the Opera Theatre in Rome).
The great intrerpretative tradition of Italien Opera and the clear, essential and very effective shool of orchestral direction represent his ideal syntesis of Music, a no time Art.
During his intensive concert activity, he conducted, moreover, on the air, for RAI 1 (Italian Televison).
He conducted in prestigious Italian theatres, such as “Dal Verme” theatre (Milano), “Metastasio” theatre (Assisi), “U. Giordano” theatre (Foggia), “G. Verdi” theatre ( San Severo), and so on.
He conducted several Orchestras among which: “I Pomeriggi Musical” (Milano), Symphony Orchestra of the Academy of Music “U Giordano” in Foggia, Philharmonic Orchestra of Daunia, Rumanian Philharmonic Orchestra of Timisoara, Great Russian Symphony Orchestra of Ihjevsk Chamber Orchestra of Academy of Tirana, Chamber Orchestra of the Academy of Minsk (Bielorussia), “South Sounds” Chamber Orchestra, “G. Ligonzo” Great Wind Orchestra.
Many critical reviews were written about his concert and his works.
At present he is permenent conductor of “G. Verdi Choir and Orchestra” in San Severo (Italy) and musical director of Young Dauna Orchestra.
